Dump Cake




  •  16 oz can of crushed pineapple include juice
  • 16 oz can of your favorite pie filling I used blueberry and apple for these.  cherry also works well.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1.5-2 cups pecans, chopped
A couple tablespoons of turbinado sugar to sprinkle on top this is optional but adds great texture and taste.



  • Combine pineapple and pie filling in a 9x13 cake pan, spread evenly.
  • spread cake mix over the top.
  • pour melted butter over that mixture.
  • sprinkle with pecans and sugar

Bake for 45 min. at 375

Or if using smoker bake at about 250 for 1.5 hours.  I do this quite often. 

Best served with some whipped cream or cool whip topping.
